LEROY T. "LEE" DALASKI
Leroy T. “Lee” Dalaski, age 80, of Wilmington, DE, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday August 20, 2016. He was born in Wilmington to late Sylvester and Anna (Hlywiak) Dalaski. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, class of 1953.
After 2 years in the Navy aboard the USS Northhampton, he earned a degree in Business at U of D. While at university, he met and later married Marilee Busler. They raised 3 children while he pursued a successful sales career with Moore Business Forms. After retiring from Moore, he developed a Parson Bishop Company franchise.
Throughout his life and retirement he spent much of his time quietly serving his family, his church, his neighbors, friends and others.
He will be remembered as a devoted son and son-in-law who cared for both sets of parents to the end. A loving husband and best friend to Marilee, his wife of 56 years. A loving father who gave his all to raise and support his kids through many ups and downs. A caring and affable friend who endeared himself to others with his insights, jokes, stories, and endless silly puns. A skilled “Jack of all Trades” who could build anything. A faithful servant to 2 churches: Presbyterian Church of the Covenant and Rivercross Fellowship He was not only an elder and deacon, but was best known for his magical Vacation Bible School sets and painted murals, the wooden crosses he made for confirmands, and the hours he gave as Mr. Fixit on the properties. He was also active in life groups and Bible studies.
A high point in his life was a 50th anniversary trip to Israel to see the Holy Land.
He is survived by his wife Marilee; daughter Donna, son-in-law Nick Gunya, and grandkids Alex and Katherine Gunya; daughter Sharon, son Mike, as well as his sister Patricia Bringle and brother Ken Dalaski.
