Jeannette K. Doll, age 88 of Cheswold, DE. went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served, on Friday, October 7, 2016.
Jean was a native of Bethlehem, Pa., where she graduated from Liberty High School. A talented seamstress with a flair for fashion design, Jean was the owner –operator of Jean Doll’s House of Fabric in Dover and Wilmington during the 1960’s and ‘70s. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roger C. Doll, her sister Dorothy K. Ferenschak and her parents, Joseph and Theresa Kradjel.
Survivors who will cherish Jean’s memory include daughter Gail Edwards (Ellsworth), son Jay Greenamoyer (Joan); grandchildren Erin Downing (Scott), Leanna Emig (Brian) and Kyle Greenamoyer; and a great-grandson Liam Scott Emig, all of Wilmington. Other survivors include brother-in-law Fred Ferenschak , niece Diane Farmer and nephew Glenn Ferenschak, all of Perry Hall, Md.
The family would like to thank neighbor and friend, Margaret Failing, for her kindness and help in watching out for Jeannette since her husband passed in November.
Jean attended Baptist and Pentecostal churches in Dover as well as Blue Mountain Christian Retreat for many years. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 301 Walker Rd., Dover DE. 19904, on Monday, October 17 at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
