Age 58, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours December 31, 2016. He was born in Chester, Pa to the late Charles F. Hiltner, Sr. and Vivian Helen Hiltner (Ayres).

This “gentle giant” known also as IRONMAN touched many hearts. He will be dearly missed and many will remember his kindness as well as his beautiful singing voice at Karaoke and funny antics. He was a graduate of John Dickinson High School, an Eagle Scout Troop 50, former wrestler for ECWA, Realtor, model, HVAC certified, service/auto mechanic, and a loving father.

He is survived by his loving partner, Carol A. Wilson; his children, Charles F. Hiltner, III and Andrew Phillip Hiltner; his former wife and mother of his children, Patty Gropp; his brother, Ray (Rose Ann) and nieces Heather and Amber.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday January 14th at Christ United Methodist Church, 6 N. Clifton Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805, where friends may greet the family from 10:00 to 12:00.
