Linda Ann Schultz, devoted mom and grandmother, age 66, of Wilmington Delaware, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Linda fought MS for the last half of her life, and was a testament to optimism in the face of chronic illness.
Linda was born in northern Illinois and is one of five children of Joseph Smith and Genevieve Mikrut. Linda moved to the Delaware Valley in the early 1980’s. She worked for Hercules upon her arrival to the area, and worked for Xerox in last working years. Linda was hard-working, rising to prominent positions within both businesses and earning the admiration of her colleagues. She also volunteered her time to causes such as junior achievement.
Linda’s heart and home were always opened to those in need. Whether it be friends of her children, or adopting unwanted animals, she was always willing to extend a welcome. Linda was passionate about politics, and also political television, able to recite quotes from West Wing.
Linda is survived by her two children, Sheera Eby, and Daniel E. Schultz. Sheera lives with her husband James Eby and son Jacob Eby in Illinois; Dan lives with his wife Kelly Cochran in Delaware. Linda is also survived by her siblings, Sandra Feren, Laurie Couture, Joseph Smith, and Barbara Imhof.
Linda touched many lives and relied on a number of people in the healthcare industry for the assistance provided for daily activities, to whom the family is eternally grateful. Linda’s love will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27, at 3pm, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. DE 19808 where frineds may cal after 2:00 p.m.
