ROBERT W. WINSOR
Robert W. Winsor, 85, of Wilmington, DE, died peacefully at home of liver cancer with Lucy, his loving wife of 63 years, and family by his side. He was born on August 10, 1931 to George and Anne Winsor, Chelsea, MA.

Bob was a U.S. Naval Officer on the USS Jeffers(DMS-27). He then worked for the E.I.DuPont Company: Repauno Works 1955-1956; Pompton Lakes Works 1956-1964; Wilmington Office 1964-1969; Repauno Works 1969-1972; Wilmington Office 1972 - 1985. Then he retired and the fun began! He and Lucy did various and sundry jobs over the following years including being Secret Taste Testers for pizza, selling Russell Stover Chocolates and counting the magazines at the checkout lines in the super markets. Someone has to! They enjoyed being together tackling any challenge!
Bob was a Charter Member of the Brandywiners Chorale, a member since 1988. He and Lucy enjoyed the singing and many friendships they developed over the years together. He was also very active in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church as a member of the Choir, a Lector, worked on the census and most recently, the Clean Team for the Church.
Bob loved going to Chincoteague, VA and staying at the King’s Cottage. He started bringing the family there in the late 1960s and Bob and Lucy have gone every year since. The last several years they would go down for 3 weeks in May and all the kids were quite envious!! A favorite memory is of Dad and Mom in the ocean, floating on their backs, drifting along, holding hands!
Bob was predeceased by his grandson John Winsor of Austin, TX, in March 2016.
