Alvin Vincent Sibila passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Alvin was born in Lakewood, OH on June 9, 1953. He was the son of the late Dr. Anthony Sibila and the late Carolyn Knapp Smith. He was also preceded in death by his step father Richard Smith.
Alvin is survived by his wife Phyllis Sibila; his loving daughters Dawn Dodds (Kevin) and Amanda Zulkowski (Keith). Alvin was “Grampy” to four cherished granddaughters, Cassidy Dodds, Abigail Dodds, Kailee Dodds and Emma Dodds. Alvin was the oldest of seven children and is also survived by his sister Evelyn LaMore (David), and brothers Mark Sibila (Debbie), David Sibila, Richard Smith (Susan Shields), Joseph Smith, Charles Smith (Jill) and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Alvin served with the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1981.
As a young man Alvin’s love of cars and hands on work inspired his life long career as a diesel mechanic. Al became an expert mechanic and had the respect and admiration of a multitude of friends in the trucking field.
