Mark C. Manuel, age 47, of Middletown, DE died suddenly on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Christiana Hospital after collapsing at work.

Mark was a 1987 graduate of Delcastle Technical High School where he received several awards for his carpentry. He worked in the construction field and was employed by Kriss Contracting since 2011.

Mark was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He bowled in leagues at Pleasant Hill Lanes for many years. Mark loved the beach, especially the Outer Banks. As a lover of Looney Tunes, he had a tattoo of the Tasmanian Devil on his arm.

Mark was predeceased by his father, Richard Manuel, Sr. and his grandparents. He is survived by his sons Cody of Bear and Jarod of Newark; mother Dorothy of Wilmington; siblings John of FL, Richard of Bear; and Kathleen and Brian of Wilmington; maternal grandmother Myrtle Geist of Wilmington; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 3 from 6-8 pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. The funeral service will take place the following day, Thursday, at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
