James Lawrence Warrick passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017 at home with his loving family at his side.
Jim was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He was the son of the late Ernest and Thelma Warrick. Jim was an Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in October of 1953. Jim was a member of the Ionic Lodge #31 A.F. & A.M., Masonic Temple Newport, Delaware.
Jim was predeceased by his first wife Ann in 1984 and his second wife Elva Abbott Warrick in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lillian, his children, Gene Warrick (Linda), Sharon Ralph (John), his sisters, Elva Wilson and Sandy Fletcher Miller, his grandchildren, Jimmy, Jason, Leah and Jeffrey, 4 great-grandsons and his sister-in-law, Kathy Widdoes (Dave) and his brother-in-law Fred Cushing (Peggy).

He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. Jim liked doing projects around the house. Most of all Jim enjoyed eating crabs and entertaining with family and friends.

Friends may call on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. A service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1700 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 where friends may call from 9:30-10:30. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
