Michael S. Gervay, loving husband and father, passed away suddenly on November 14, 2017 at Wilmington Hospital.

He was born in Red Bank, NJ to the late Helen and Dr. Joseph Gervay. Michael was graduate of Brandywine High School and attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Delaware. He was a vice-president at J.P. Morgan Chase. Michael was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He enjoyed golf, trips to Las Vegas, Dewey Beach, and was a huge Van Halen fan. Despite living in “Eagles Country”, he never wavered in his support of the Dallas Cowboys. He put his heart and soul into volunteering, specifically at Christiana Care where Michael was one of the first Patient and Family Advisers. He did most of his work on the Wilmington ICU Patient and Family Centered Care Council, as well as helping to build the Wilmington Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Council. He enjoyed coaching his son’s basketball team and being a board member of Crestview Swim Club.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nancy Peloso Gervay, his children Moira, Sebastian, and Michaela, his parents -in-law Donald and Joan Peloso, his sister-in-law, Jamie Peloso Finney and her husband, Gary.
