Kover Martin Hudson, Jr., 96, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Brackenville Center in Hockessin, Delaware. He was born June 29, 1921, the only son of the late Kover M. and Florence T. Hudson, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Hall Hudson of Wilmington, Delaware.
Kover graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1939. He also attended the University of Delaware and Drexel University. A veteran of WWII, Kover served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1945 aboard the USS Poole DE151 in both the European and Pacific Campaigns. He was employed by E. I. DuPont Experimental Station in Polymers and Plastics until his retirement in 1981.
Kover is survived by his son, Kover M. Hudson, III (Bonnie) of Wilmington, Delaware and a daughter, Linda H. Shields (Vance) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeff Work (Kristen), Elizabeth Galloway, Sara Vance Selander (Craig), Preston Shields (Rachel) and 7 great grandchildren, Service and burial will be held privately for the family.
