Casimer (“Casey”) A. Scott (Kasmier A. Sobiech) age, 91, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018.

Casey was born in Cleveland, OH and graduated from South High School. He enlisted in United States Navy, during WWII (1944), where he attained the rank of Seaman 2nd Class and served on the USS Mississippi. In 1948 he acted as an Airborne Geophysicist for the United States Coast Guard and Geodetic Survey. He went on to pursue higher education from John Carroll University and the University of South Florida and earned a Masters in Engineering. He held many Engineering and Supervisory positions during his career and retired with over 40 years of service with General Electric.

He was preceded in death by his dear sister, Blanch and her husband Stanley.
He is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 62 years, Wanda; children, Laurie (John), Marie (Bill) and Tom (Lorraine). Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan), Kelly (Rafi), Jonathan and Shaley. He will always live on inside our hearts and be remembered for his selfless and giving nature, endless love, and his gentleness. We love you, Pop-Pop, and we will miss you.

A viewing will be held on February 10, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Noon at Saint Joseph on the Brandywine RC Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE. Interment will take place in the church cemetery following Mass.
