Bart LaQuaglia passed away on February 5, 2018 at Rockland Place at age 87. He was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Rocco and Rose LaQuaglia. Bart was a graduate of Salesianum School and La Salle University where he majored in accounting. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bart retired from the State of Delaware as an Auditor. Bart was always the life of the party. He loved to dance even when he was in the nursing home he would entertain the residents with his elegant dance steps. He had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh. Bart was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cliodna whom he married in 1961. They met at a dance in Philadelphia. Cliodna was from Ireland living in Philadelphia with a relative and that dance night brought them together. Bart was also preceded in death by Philamena Reniere and brother-in-law Eric Mullane. Debra Raniere Marsh and his brother-in-law, Lawrence Raniere, of Oregon his sister-in-law Mervian Crowley and her two sons, Michael and Karl, his brother-in-law Damien Mullane and his wife Mary and their two sons, Ian and Colin, and his sister-in-law Nancy Mullane and her two children, Susan and Paul all from the UK and Ireland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. Viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to Faithful Friends, 12-A Germay Drive, Wilm., DE 19804.
