Judith Alison Barnhill, age 80, of Wilmington, passed away after a short hospitalization on Saturday, February 17th 2018.
Daughter of the late John L. and Marguerite M. Barnhill. Judy worked as a Research Technician at the E.I. DuPont de Nemours Experimental Station, WIlmington, in Central Research and Development for over 32 years. After taking early retirement from DuPont, Judy traveled to Europe and the Southwest US. Judy also worked as a waitress at a now-defunct establishment on Delaware Avenue because--as she said--it was fun.
Judy is survived by her children, Elizabeth M. of Pittsburgh, PA., and son, Daniel M. of Wilmington; her sister, Patricia A. Comegys, of Wilmington, grandchildren Marcus, Alison "Kitty", Jacobi, and Jason.
She will also be sorely missed by her great-grandchildren Jaydin, Sincere, D'uana, Alaia, Malik, and Noble, and her niece Maria.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held on Thursday March 1, at 11am at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike Wilmington 19803. Burial will be private.
