MICHAEL ANTHONY BOZZO

Michael "Mike" Anthony Bozzo, age 59, passed away March 6, 2018, surrounded by his family. Mike was born to the late Louis F. and Carmella A. (Ramone) Bozzo, February 20, 1959, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Mike is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Dana DeVincentis Bozzo, son and best friend Michael L. Bozzo, and daughter, the apple of his eye, Gina M. Bozzo, along with his two caring sisters, Rose M. (Bozzo) Bloom and Diana M. Bozzo. Together with his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Burt Reen, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and one granddaughter, he will be dearly missed.
Mike was a 1977 graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School, where he lettered in wrestling and football. He was a great athlete, and went on to play semi-pro football and participated in many athletic leagues. After serving his country in the Air Force, Mike became owner/operator of Newark TV Service Co., founded by his family in 1958. Mike was also a die-hard Eagles fan, whose lifelong dream was fulfilled when they won the Super Bowl this year. His love for football inspired him to become a coach for the CTJFL, where he was known as "Coach Mike," to many young athletes. He was well respected and became a father figure to many of his players. Later in Mike's life, many of his former players would credit him for turning their lives around. During his years in AA, as both a member and Sponsor, known as "TV Mike"/ "Harley Mike," he helped numerous members throughout their recovery process.
Mike was a loving, gentle soul. He was very devoted to his family and forged many life-long friendships. He had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be held at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Sunday, March 11th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 12th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, but if friends desire, contributions may be made to the Delaware Humane Society, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
