Claymont-It is with great sadness that the family of Leo E. Dodd announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the age of 90 years. Leo will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Anna (nee. Nannery) and his children, Leo F., Rosemarie Giroso, Thomas, and Ronald (Sarah). He will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Thomas Dodd, Jr., Blaise Giroso, Aidan Giroso and Emmett Dodd, and by sister-in-law Mary Nannery.
Leo was born in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School and Lasalle University. Leo was a Certified Public Accountant and operated his own firm for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the European Theater during WWII. Leo was a long standing member of the VFW Post 2907 Pugh Lenderman, Chalfonte; a member of the Claymont Lions Club and was an active and dedicated member of Holy Rosary Church.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:15 am at Holy Rosary Church, Claymont, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leo’s life. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
