Pat went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Pat graduated from Ursuline Academy and was inducted into the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame for her basketball skills in the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. Pat played for Christ Our King, Ursuline Academy, the Wolverines in the Senior Girls Basketball League, and on the DuPont all-star team. Pat “Annie Oakley” was reported by the News Journal as the as best girl player of her era.

Pat worked at DuPont as a secretary after graduating from high school. She held various jobs with Christ Our King, Immaculate Heart of Mary, New Castle County Parks and Recreation, and Patterson Schwartz.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Doc” Ferguson in 2016, parents Paul Ryan and Anne Ryan MacKlin, sister Anne Marie, and brother Paul. She is survived by her children Billy (Diane), Paul (Maryann), Robbie (Barbara), and Patti; 9 grandchildren Nick, Luke, Jack, Stephen (Meredith), Melissa (Christopher), Bobby, Ashley (Peter), Lindsay, and Courtney (Jesse); and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Manor Care and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of Pat.

A visitation with the family will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 3 at St. Mary Magdalen, 7 Sharpley Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm with interment to follow at Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Pat’s name to Heartland Hospice House , 6561 Ochletree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
