George Mandas fell asleep on April 10, 2018. Lovingly remembered as “Doc”, George was born in Wilmington, Delaware on June 7, 1932. He attended Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating as a doctor of dental surgery.
George worked with his wife, Lucretia, in his dental practice for over 50 years. He held strong convictions, but listened with an open heart and had a hearty laugh. George and Lucretia loved to travel, taking almost 50 cruises in their lifetime.
George was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He served his church and his community and was President of the Holy Trinity Parish Council. George was also a life member of the Order of AHEPA, holding various offices up to the office of President.
George was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Lucretia, and is survived by his son, John.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Friends may visit between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow the service at Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
