Ray W. Budd passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice, whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He is also survived by his son Dean, daughter Donna, and son-in-law Marty Grygo. He was preceded in death by his son Mark. He was very proud of his seven grandchildren: Melissa, Mark and wife Lauren, whom he had the joy to see get married in July, Danny, and Jacob Budd, and Joseph, who is currently deployed, Adam, and Alison Grygo.
He was born in Chincoteague, VA, a place very close to his heart, to Milford and Sadie Budd. He is survived by his brother Mickey and wife June of St. Petersburg, FL and preceded in death by his sister Catherine.

He worked for DuPont for 40 years and volunteered at the LPGA scoring tent at DuPont Country Club for 10 years. He was the First Master of Granite Lodge #34, youngest Master of Washington Lodge #1, Vice Commander of DelVets Post #1 for one year, and Commander for two years. He was president of AI Elementary School PTA, and president of the McDaniel Crest Civic Association. He spent 12 years as a team manager for Naamans Little League and loved bowling and golf, and even got a hole in one! Ray was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan and was so happy to see the Superbowl win this year.

A celebration of life will be held on April 25, 2018 at Del Vets Post #1 2535 Veterans Dr Wilmington, DE 19810 from 4:30-7:30pm.
