Age 89, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services – Pike Creek. Bob was a life-long member of the Christiana Presbyterian Church where he held various positions over the years. He served in the Army Reserves for 14 years, and was a member of the Masonic Temple, riding with the Nur Shrine Temple Horse Patrol.
Bob was Plant Engineer for Electric Hose and Rubber and Gates Engineering.
He was a talented woodworker who made beautiful furniture; a gardener whose vegetable garden and flower beds were perfection; and an engineer/designer who could design and build anything, receiving a patent for one of his designs. Bob especially enjoyed spending time at the home he built on his mountain property. A kindhearted, giving person, he would do anything for family, neighbors and friends, and he loved the dogs and horses he had over the years.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Rachel and Isaac Morrison; four sisters, Irene Anderson, Mildred Morrison, Rachel Morrison, and Edith Morrison; and two nephews, Duncan C. Anderson, Jr. and David R. Anderson, Sr.
A devoted son, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend, Bob is survived by his niece, Peggy Gibson and her husband, Joseph; a niece-in-law, Ana R. Anderson; six great-nieces and great-nephews, David R. Anderson, Jr.; Duncan C. Anderson, III (Angela); Elizabeth L. Patrick (Bruce); Ryan M. Anderson (Emma); R. Tyler Anderson; Sara R. Anderson; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at ManorCare – Pike Creek for their dedication and caring services over the past four years.
Bob will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
