CAROLYN GAMBLE

Lady Carolyn Mae Gamble was called to the temple not made with hands on August 17th, 2018.

Carol was born on July 30,, 1942 to the late Elba Mae Agnew and Charles Samuel Boyer. She attended William Penn High School before starting her career with Citi Bank. She was an avid motorcycle rider and could always be found on the back of her husband’s bike. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and (over) feeding the neighborhood cats. She was also a diehard Disney lover. She and Wes visited Disney World at least 24 times and enjoyed going on 4 Disney cruises together. Carol was an active member of the Hillbilly Clan with the Nur Shrine and spent her time involved in numerous charitable organizations.

Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Jr, and her daughter, Patricia. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving husband of 46 years Wes Gamble; brother, Benjamin Boyer (Sharon); daughters Elizabeth Nelson (Tony) and Deborah Lynch (Frederick); sons, Allan Clark and David Gamble; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 24th from 5:00pm- 7:30pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy with a celebration of life to follow at the Nur Shrine 198 S. DuPont Hwy in New Castle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carol’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Philadelphia PA.
