Kathryn G. Kiley passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018.
Mrs. Kiley is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Thomas L. Kiley of Wilmington, DE (now residing in Annapolis, MD); her daughter Adrienne Kiley Noel and husband Patrick of Edgewater, MD; and two grandsons. She is also survived by her brother in California.
Mrs. Kiley was predeceased by her parents Tom C. Gary, Jr. and Barbara Edgar Gary of Wilmington, DE.
Kitsey, as she was known from childhood, graduated from Brandywine High School in 1965 and from Centenary Junior College for Women in Hackettstown, NJ in 1967. Kitsey then graduated from Trans World Airlines (TWA) flight attendant school later in 1967 and enjoyed traveling the world for a brief period. In 1968, Mrs. Kiley began her employment with DuPont in Wilmington, DE, where she worked for over 40 years, beginning as a stenographer and working her way up to Executive Assistant for many of the company’s Vice Presidents and CEOs. She was tremendously dedicated to DuPont throughout her life and proud to continue in the footsteps of her father and grandfather who both worked at DuPont as engineers.
Mrs. Kiley and her husband met in high school and lived in New Castle County their whole lives until moving to the Annapolis area several years ago to be near their daughter’s family. Mrs. Kiley enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and vacationing in Maine and Cape May.
