Wilmington-Daughter, wife, mother, artist, carpenter, writer and house wife. Helen was a loving and talented woman who had many interests. She designed and sewed beautiful clothes, designed and decorated her daughter’s prom-theme of Romeo and Juliet for which she was invited to receive a bouquet of roses from Dickenson High School.

She kept busy in her later years writing two novels, one of which was the story of her own mother, Margaret Hayden. She was born a lover of horses and an amazing horse show mother and trainer. She will be missed in so many ways

She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, William Brannan, of local 452 Iron Workers. She is survived by her only child, Marleen Brannan and 6 rescue cats.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Matthews Church, Maryland and Curtis Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19804. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
