Helen Arvella Van Cleave Tait passed peacefully at age 93, on November 25, 2018. She battled COPD for the last few years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Tait and her two sons, Frank Edward Tait and David Wayne Tait.

She is survived by her daughter, Emma Jean Lynch and her husband, John F. Lynch, Jr.; her daughters-in-law, Wyola Tait and Donna Morgan; her grandchildren, Randall Tait (Rachel), Russell Tait, John F. Lynch III (Tara), Jennifer Lynch, Kyle Lynch, Martin Tait, and Robin Brown; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was a wonderful Mother. She took great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends. She was a loving, kind person to everyone she knew. She worked for the Riverton School District as a cook in several schools for many years. She owned Tait’s Shoe Mart in Riverton, Wyoming. She retired in Arizona, where she took up oil painting. She won many awards for her paintings. Her paintings hand in her children’s homes and many of her friends’ homes. She will be remembered with love by all who knew her.

Services for Helen will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808) on Friday, November 30 at 6:00pm. Burial will be private.
