Wilmington-Lillian Pyle Collas, 93, died on Monday, February 15, 2021 in her home following a short illness. Her family was near as she peacefully passed.
A life-long resident of New Castle County, Lil attended Wilmington High School and married Leonard Collas who predeceased her. She assisted her husband in his business ventures, but always made being home for her kids a priority. She loved shopping, entertaining friends, and spending time outside working in her garden. Lil was a compassionate friend to many and will be missed for her comforting smile.
Lil was also predeceased by her oldest son, Leonard Charles Collas, Jr. who passed away January 26, 2020. She is survived by her son, Larry (Penne) Collas of Kaneoke, HI and her daughter, Cathy (Rod) Ryle of Milford, PA. She loved her grandchildren: Jill Collas of Kaneoke, HI, Joshua (Amy) Collas of Oxnard, CA; Jessica (Dave) Kristiansen of Telford, PA; Joanne (Nick) May of Milford, PA and Nicholas Crowley of El Cajon, CA; along with eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her “other daughter” Jane (Phil) Karl of Jackson, OH as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
