Wilmington- Nancy L. Steen, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2021.
She was born and raised in Wilmington and was the daughter of the late Betty and George Brown. Nancy graduated from McKean HS in 1976. She was very giving and enjoyed volunteering at many local animal rescues. Nancy was an active member at Cedars UMC. Bringing her the most joy was time with family, friends and beloved cats.
Her husband of 31 years, William J., Jr., passed away in 2010. Nancy is survived by her 2 children, Stephanie and CJ Steen; 5 siblings, Debbie, Larry, Cindy, Beverly and Betty; her four legged children, Dini, Max and Mama; a large extended family and close friends that she could always make laugh with her quick wit and pranks.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 23, from 10 am- 12 noon, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington. Due to Covid restrictions the funeral service and burial will be held privately. Viewing and service will be held in accordance with the current health directives, wearing masks and social distancing.
