Isabella Marie Lafferty passed away unexpectedly September 13, 2021 at the age of 18.
Izzy was the shining star in our family galaxy. She was intelligent, beautiful, kind and so full of love for everyone in her orbit. She was a talented and creative singer, guitarist and artist who loved cooking, camping, nature and the beach. She was an avid Girl Scout for 11 years. She adored plants, animals and spending time with her loved ones. Isabella was a recent graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and had just begun attending Del Tech, working towards a degree in Human Services. Her goal was to be a counselor to help others and to make the world a better place.
Isabella will be sorely missed by her parents, Steven and Laura Lafferty; her sister Maddie Lafferty (Matt Medaris) and brother Michael David Lafferty; her maternal grandparents Edward and Suzanne Carr; her paternal grandmother Colleen Clark; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Michael “Poppy” Lafferty.
An opportunity to remember Isabella will be available at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home at 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Monday, September 20th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial service will be private. In Isabella’s memory, please consider a donation to the Delaware Humane Association.
