Cheryl A. Smith Reber, “Popcorn” 48, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2021. Cheryl was a 1991 graduate of Brandywine High School and was with PNC through a Co-op program. She then went on to a full time position, first with PNC then BYN Mellon Bank with 30 years of service.
Cheryl had an incredibly serving heart, always putting others before herself. Whether serving Thanksgiving dinner, baking, cooking or serving others needs through their church where she was very involved. Cheryl and her husband Charlie enjoyed thirteen years of a truly loving marriage and were always seen by each other’s side. Soulmates forever!
Cheryl is survived by her husband Charles J. Reber; her mother Norma Smith and her cousin Dale Shillito (Mimi). A visitation will be held on Monday October 4, from 10-11am with a celebration service at 11am at Iron Faith Fellowship Church, 801 Darley Rd. Wilmington 19810. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cheryl’s memory may be made to the church.
