Wilmington – Patricia Ann Sierzenski passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 15, 2022. She was 78.
Pat was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1943. She grew up in Jenkintown and graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School. She worked for Bell Telephone Company and then for Sears. She spent most of her working career at Sears in the accounting department. She later worked in accounting and payroll for National Hardware. She retired in 2003.
Pat enjoyed serving on boards and committees in her spare time. At the time of her passing she was the President of Paladin Club Master Association and served on her high school reunion committee. She was an avid user of Ancestry.com and loved researching her Irish family history and her husband’s Polish history. Pat met the love of her life, her husband John, through a friend, Margie, that ended up being a dear family member. John and Pat married in 1984 and shared 37 years together.
Pat loved to spend time with her family and friends whether for family gatherings, special occasions, Sunday dinner or just to meet up for happy hour. Pat definitely had the gift of gab and oddly she did not like beer, but she did love her Chardonnay! She also very much loved her grand puppies Ellie, Putter, Bonnie Bleu and Nessie, and they loved her right back with wagging tails, barks and kisses, every time she walked in the door, for the countless hours that she cared for them and spoiled them over the years.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Daniel Joseph and Catherine Mary (Dunckley) Plunkett. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and Vincent Plunkett. She leaves behind her loving husband John Sierzenski, her brother Gene (Margie) Plunkett, her sisters-in-law Kathleen and Sandra Sierzenski and Johnne Plunkett, a close cousin Ann Clothier, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends who will greatly miss her.
