Michael Charles Hannon, age 70, of Wilmington, DE, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
He was raised in Cherry Hill, NJ and was the son of late Mary Jane (Potter) and Robert Joseph Hannon. Michael graduated from Cherry Hill East in 1970 and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
Shortly after college, he started his own company, M.C. Hannon Construction Company for over 40 years. Michael was a member of Delaware Veterans Post #1. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing poker with his card buddies, watching movies on TCM, but what brought him the most joy was spending time with his family especially the yearly vacations to Sandbridge, VA. Michael was also an avid Eagles, Phillies and Yankees fan.
He is survived by his 3 children, Michael C. Hannon (Christine) and twins Kathryn “Katie” V. Hannon and Kyle P. Hannon (Cindi); his companion for over 18 years, Colleen Donithan, her children, Brian and Adam Donithan; 3 grandchildren, Conor, Lily and Hudson; a sister, Suzanh Boronkay (Ron) and a brother, John Hannon (Bobbi).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, at 11:30 am at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pk., Claymont, DE where friends may call from 9:30-11:15 am. Burial will be follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE
