Charlotte W. Daum (age 94) of Wilmington went to be with the Lord on December 20th. She died peacefully in her home at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, PA.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Fisher and her son-in-law Robert; two granddaughters, Sarah Fisher of Los Angeles and Emily Fisher of Boston. Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard D. Daum; and her two brothers, Allen Lee Wolfe of Wilmington, DE and William James Wolfe of Cape Coral, FL.
Charlotte graduated from Wilmington High School and worked as a secretary for several businesses in Wilmington. She volunteered at the Wilmington Opera House for 26 years and enjoyed many performances throughout the years.
Charlotte enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, needlepoint, and solitaire. She also volunteered at hospice. Her favorite place to spend free time was at the beach with her family.
Charlotte will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and her strong faith. She attended Bible Study at Brandywine Valley Church for many years and participated in other Bible Studies in the area. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her friends and family will always remember her thoughtful and loving spirit. We will never forget her compassion, kindness, and warmth.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at 11AM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803) where friends may call after 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial.
In lieu of flowers donations, contributions may be made in Charlotte’s memory to Willow Tree Hospice (616 E. Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348).
