Cheryl A. Blanchette, age 74 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully, on February 2, 2023, after a brief illness.
Cheryl was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Benjamin R. and Thelma S. Stevens. She graduated from Brandywine High School in 1966 and attended Brandywine Junior College (Widner University).
In her professional career she was a Legal Secretary for Connolly, Bove, Lodge & Hutz after which she worked for several Nationwide Insurance Agents until her retirement.
Cheryl was a cat lover, enjoyed traveling, attending antique car functions, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Gary N. Stevens. Cheryl is survived by her husband of 35 years Neil, her 2 daughters Tonya (Gregory) Obierek, Kirsten Cox, 2 stepsons Timothy (Lisa) Blanchette and Todd (Stephanie) Blanchette as well as; “Me mom” to 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Cheryl will be on Tuesday, February 28 at 7pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington where a visitation will be held form 5:30-7pm. Burial will be held privately.
