Belinda Godley Wilson, age 63, of Wilmington, DE went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 20, 2023. She passed away at home with loving family by her side.
Belinda was born and raised in Miami, FL and is the daughter of Patricia Noles and the late Charles Godley. She attended the University of Florida.
Belinda worked as a paralegal at the law firm of Tybout, Redfearn & Pell for over 15 years.
She was a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in foster care for 17 years. Belinda was an active member of RiverCross Fellowship where she was an Elder, the Treasurer and on the Board. She enjoyed traveling to Massachusetts and Florida, the beaches in any state, and shopping for clothes but especially shoes. She was an avid Florida Gators fan, true crime enthusiast, and a lobster roll connoisseur. Love was an important part of her life, Belinda loved her family, being with her grandchildren and supporting others that were also battling cancer.
She is survived by her 3 children, Morgan Wilson (Dennis Hoatson), Rachel MacGuinness and Clayton Wilson; 3 grandchildren, Matthieu Menard, Ava Wilson and Everett MacGuinness; a sister, Patti Anne Godley and her companion of 10 years, Al Lindh.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, beginning at 10 am at RiverCross Fellowship, 77 McCullough Dr. Ste 2, New Castle, DE 19720, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.
