Jerry E. Eubanks, 84, of Glen Mills, died on Thursday, March 23rd, in Rose Court at Maris Grove retirement community where he was a resident. Born July 6, 1938 in Anderson, IN, one of 4 children to Russell D. Eubanks and Mary J. Burkert. He joined the Navy as a young man and was very proud of time he spent serving at Camp David. He married Dorothy L. Bruck of Greencastle, PA in 1959 and they were married for over 50 years before Dorothy passed away in 2010.
Jerry became very active as a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church enjoying cooking for the pancake breakfasts and giving communion to people who were shut-in. He also volunteered as a mentor to give a second chance to former prisoners. He is survived by his second wife, Sylvia A. Hilliard of Glen Mills; daughters, Diana Cooper of Milford, OH, Eve Bourne of Upper Chichester, PA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 31st, at 11am at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church (850 Mt. Lebanon Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803). Interment in the church cemetery will immediately follow. Family will receive friends at the church following the burial.
