Patricia Anne Ritter, age 72, of Wilmington, DE passed away on May 8, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Pat graduated from Brandywine High School and began a career in retail, working at John Wanamaker’s for 25 years. After leaving Wanamaker’s, she operated a home-based daycare for 15 years. Pat then became a private nanny and companion to adults. Throughout her years of caregiving, she shared her compassion, joy, and love of life with many families and lifelong friends.
Pat was a member of Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included a love of flowers and nature, especially birds.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Ritter (Josh Linton) and Steven Ritter (Anjelica); sister, Suzanne Vietri (Fred); nephew, Daniel Vietri (Ashley); niece, Elise Peercy (Aaron) and their families.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, May 20 from 10-11 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 where a memorial service will be held at 11 am.
