David Leach, 59, born and raised in Fairview, Camden, New Jersey, passed away on July 6, 2023. David attended St. Joan of Arc Elementary School, Class of 1978 and Camden County Technical High School, Class of 1982 and pursued a career in carpentry.
David’s interest in carpentry and skills in home improvement led him to voluntarily work on projects at his home, others’ homes and spaces of worship. He loved to travel and go to the beach. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports Teams fan – Go Phillies! Eagles! Sixers!
Most memorable was David’s personal faith in God. He read the Bible daily and took the Book with him on trips, because it was a source of strength for him. Our beloved brother David shared his insights and reflections with others, and appreciated always learning more.
David was predeceased by Edwin G. (Bud) Leach, Sr. (father), Mary Ellen Tompkins Leach (mother), and Edwin G. (Ed) Leach, Jr. (brother). He is survived by sisters, Jamie Leach Jones of Hockessin, DE, Elizabeth Leach DeCampli of Wilmington, DE, their spouses, and 7 nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.
A memorial service will be held at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808) on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00. The visitation will begin at 1:15. Memorial donations in David’s name can be made to City Team, 634 Sproul Street, Chester, PA 19013 or at cityteam.org.
