William Dutton, 96, of Newark, DE formerly of Marshallton Heights, DE
passed way Sunday July 9 at Christiana Hospital. Mr. Dutton was employed by Miller Furniture as a delivery man before retiring after 41 years of service.
He was a faithful Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed his time spent with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Dutton, 7 brothers, 1 sister and his beloved dog and best friend Charlie.
Mr. Dutton is survived by his nephew, Roger Dutton, Jr. and his wife Mary of Smyrna, DE; niece, Sharon Jackson and her husband Charles of Palmyra, NJ; a host of nieces and nephews and very special long time friends, Peggy Greenwood and her son Greg Lochten and JoAnn Brancati and her husband George and family.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday July 18 from 6-8 pm with a brief service at 7:30 pm. at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, 19808. Burial will be held privately for the family and close friends.
