Patrick F. Phipps, age 89, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024.
He was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK. and is the son of the late Margaret (Mullins) and William K. Phipps. He was also preceded in death by his sons, William F., Donald K., and Michael J Phipps and siblings Virginia Ella, Mary Lois, Donald K, and Leonard Ray Phipps.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
After many years in the printing business, Patrick retired from Wilmington Blue Print in Wilmington, DE. Patrick enjoyed woodworking, bicycling, and exploring new places that he found on the map, which he continued to do well into his senior years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia A. Phipps, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors who will truly miss him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 10:00am – 11:00am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE where a celebration of life will follow at 11:00am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
