Beverly Ann Harris, age 86 of Newark, DE passed away April 20, 2024.
Beverly is predeceased by her parents William and Mary Harris and her brother-in-law Albert Lewandowski.
Beverly was a graduate of the University of Delaware, Class of 1959, along with Pratt Institute where she achieved her Masters in 1967. She spent her career as a librarian, retiring after 28 years as Chief of Technical Services of the West Chester Library System in West Chester County, NY. After her work in New York, Beverly went on to Cobb County, GA where she once again worked in the library system. She retired in 2001. Beverly had many and varied interests including the fine arts, traveling and the outdoors.
Beverly is survived by her sister Mary Ann Lewandowski; nephew, Benjamin Lewandowski (Megan); niece, Mary Anthos (Johnathan) and 6 great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her good friends Mary Brown, Dianne Tkach, and Pat & Diane Courtney.
A funeral service will be held at McCrery & Harra 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808 on April 26, 2024 at 12 noon, friends and family may call from 11:00 to 12:00. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
