Larry H. Heinel, 77, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2024. Larry was the son of the late Howard and Olga Heinel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during Vietnam. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Larry was known as “Mustang Larry” to many for his appreciation of the Mustang, as well as having several of his own.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Tracie (Heinel) Corey; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Corey, Amanda Corey and Cassie Corey; 2 sisters, Phyllis Burton and Diane McDowell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday May 7, from 10-11am with a brief service at 11am at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington 19808. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
