Frances A. Shumosic passed away at home in Newark DE on May 10, 2024. She was born in Nanticoke PA to parents Richard Wetzel and Anna Studna Wetzel. One of 10 children, she was predeceased by all but Ann Buckley of Mt Airy MD.
Frances was married for 67 years to Thomas J. Shumosic, who passed away in 2020. Their son Arnold passed away in 1988.
She is survived by her Brother-in-Law, Donald Shumosic, of Hunlock Creek PA; her Daughter, Ann Shumosic of Glen Lyon PA; and her son, Thom Shumosic and his Wife Stephanie Shumosic of Wilmington DE. She also leaves behind three Grandchildren, Andrew Shumosic (and his Wife Michelle) of Northridge CA, Rebecca Shumosic of Northridge CA and Emily Shumosic of St Petersburg FL.
She asked that in lieu of flowers, that you consider making a contribution to the Food Bank of Delaware.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
