Suzanne L. Jones, age 90, formerly of Kendal at Longwood, PA, beloved wife of John H. Jones, left this world surrounded by family on May 7, 2024.
She was the proud mother of four: Kathleen Fitzgibbon (Thomas Belton), Julie (Daniel) Bathon, Anne (David) McNeill and W. Thomas (Kathleen) White.
Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, William & Kathleen Greeley of Chester Springs, PA and her sister, June Roper of Columbia, MD.Suzanne’s family now includes twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren with whom she was delighted to share her love.
She attended Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA.
Suzanne enjoyed hosting friends and family and traveling with John and her beloved English cousins.She was the proud founder and owner of Executive Offices, Inc. located in New Castle Corporate Commons. Another cause she favored was Friendship House where she did everything from painting and gardening to serving on their Board. She once chaired the Wilmington Garden Day site selection committee. Suzanne devoted time and resources to World Impact in Chester PA, Marbrook School Hosts, and tutoring students at the Highlands Elementary. She even arranged and managed a Delaware statewide political convention!
A loving, giving person who will be dearly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
Services will be held on Wednesday May 29 at 11AM at Trinity Episcopal Church,1108 N Adams St, Wilmington, DE.A reception will be held in the church hall immediately afterward. Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington DE.
