Mary Butler “Dee” Rothwell, age 89, died Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Ephrata Manor, PA.
Dee earned an RN from Catholic University and a Master’s in nursing administration from Michigan State. During her career Dee served as a public health nurse and hospice nurse, the latter of which gave her immense professional satisfaction. Dee was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Dee was predeceased by her husband Thomas A. Rothwell, Jr., brothers John and Philip Butler, and grandson Matthew Groncki. She is survived by her sister Ann B. McDonough of Wilmington; children Thomas B. Rothwell of Portland, OR and Victoria R. Beltzner of Ephrata, PA; grandchildren Rachel M. Groncki, Erica L. Jones, Thompson W. Beltzner and great-grandson Calvin M. Jones.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 18 at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803 with visitation at 10 am. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
