Anna Belle Burns died peacefully on June 24, 2024. She was born in 1934 in Layland, West Virginia to John and Bertha Coughlin. She was a proud graduate of Meadow Bridge High School. Anna Belle came to Delaware in 1958 with her husband Billy Joe and her children.
Anna Belle worked at Strawbridge & Clothier for 30 years then spent 18 years working at Concord High School. She enjoyed playing bingo, singing karaoke, and never missed an opportunity to improve her lucky streak.
She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Joe; her long-term partner, Allen Wooldridge; her sons, Billy Joe and Donald Leon; and her sisters, Lillian Kinder, Belva Kinder, and Helen Kinder. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Burns; her grandchildren, Billie Ann Brooks (Shannon), Shelby Lynn Handlin, Jeran Marie George, and Billy Lee Burns; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
