Sarah (Sally) L. Marianelli, age 86, passed away July 18, 2024.
She was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Woodrow and Sarah Cahall. Sally was a graduate of P.S. DuPont High School. She had worked as a secretary for the Grand Lodge AF & AM. Sally served as Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Five Points Chapter No. 13, in addition she served as secretary of the chapter for many years. She also worked in various roles for Marianelli & Son Plastering, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Marianelli, her daughter Sally Ann Hollingshead, her son-in-law Brian Hollinshead and their children Amanda, David and Tiffany and her brothers, Woody (Woodrow) and Aldridge Alfred “Ollie” Cahall. Sally is survived by her sons, David S. Marianelli (Celeste), Angelo “Bob”Marianelli (Erica), her sisters, Norma Toner and Kathi Cahall, her grandchildren, Alyson and Sarah Marianelli, Morgan Allen (Jon) and Megan Rosanova (Luke).
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where an Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Stanton, DE.
