Margaret Anne Roos died August 1, 2024 of complications of cancer. Born in Oklahoma, Margie moved several times before settling in Delaware in 1998. She received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University, her M.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences, D.P.T in Physical Therapy from Drexel University and her PhD in Biomechanics & Movement Science with concentration in Motor Control from the University of Delaware.
Margie was a faculty member at USciences for over 12 years before joining Saint Joseph’s University. She was a professor, Acting Chair of Physical Therapy, Director of Physical Therapy Accreditation, Neurological Clinical Specialist (NCS) and taught in the neuromuscular courses and brought her clinical experience of working with individuals with spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke into the classroom while continuing to work in the clinical setting with individuals with neurologic dysfunction.
Margie is survived by her parents, Greg and Pat Roos; her sisters, Angela Roos and Teresa Roos McCormack (Sean); nieces, Molly and Caitlin McCormack; uncle, Bob Roos; aunts, Sheila Roos, Mary Kane, Frances Senn, and Gerre Lynn; and many cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 11:00 at St. Mary Magdalen Church (7 Sharpley Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803). Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the eulogy will be delivered at 10:45 a.m. Interment at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken (235 Matsonford Rd., Conshohocken, PA 19428) will immediately follow mass. There will be a memorial mass at St. Joseph’s University to be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Sisters of Life Annunciation Motherhouse (38 Montebello Rd., Suffern, NY 10901).
