Linda Susan Haley, 70, of Newark, DE, died peacefully and surrounded by family on August 24, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Freehold, NJ and attended Saint Joseph’s Catholic School in Tom’s River, NJ, Class of 1971.
Linda worked for General Motors/UAW for 26 years before her retirement. While there, she was the UAW Women’s Committee Co-chair for over a decade. In her free time, she indulged her penchant for collectables, including coins, Beanie Babies, and all things Jeff Gordon. She would spend every Sunday watching NASCAR races.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joe Clancy, and her sister, Colleen McGackin. She is survived by her daughter, Christine M. Marra (Steve); son, John W. Haley, Jr. (Alicia); grandchildren, Avery, Zachary, and Brielynn Hopkins, Jordyn Haley, and Rosie, Lily and Caiden Marra; great-grandchildren, Hunter Price and Brooklyn Pellot; and sister, Karen Viering (Jeff).
Services for Linda will be private.
