Janice Lynn Scarpitti, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 27, 2024. Janice was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed caring for animals, baking, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. She also had a green thumb like no other. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Pyle (Carol), and sister, Patricia Jester. In addition, she was very loved by her children, Elizabeth Lemon and John Scarpitti (Rachel). She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Heather (Colin), Paige, and Dominic.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend services to be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808). The viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Silverbrook Cemetery will follow services.
