Dixon, Lisa Ann

Lisa Ann DiCinque Dixon of Wilmington, daughter of the late Eugene and Evelyn Skomorucha DiCinque, passed away unexpectedly Friday September 20, at age 63.

A graduate from Padua Academy, Lisa worked for nearly 35 years in the marketing department credit card practice at MBNA / Bank of America. Previously she worked as a department manager for several years at Strawbridge & Clothier, Christiana Mall.

Never one to mince words, Lisa was a straight talker and willingly shared her opinion. Creative and artistic, she enjoyed decorating her home and cooking for her family always trying out new recipes to be served at Sunday family and holiday dinners. Fashion was her passion, she loved dressing-up always looking perfectly put together with stylish clothes, coordinating accessories and tasteful jewelry. A favorite pastime included designing and making beaded jewelry for herself and others.

She delighted in keeping a beautiful flower garden and was extremely fond of pets particularly her Little Lucy a rescue Cat with an attitude. Then there’s Alamo, Lisa’s extremely affectionate grand-dog who she loved to babysit when Eric was away on business.

Saturday was Lisa’s singular day to spend with her sister. She’d pick up Tina at 9:00 a.m. and the rest of the day was theirs for grocery shopping, clothes shopping, having lunch, and getting mani-pedis. The day usually ended at Tina’s house finishing jewelry projects.

Lisa is survived by her beloved son Eric & his intended Vivian of Philadelphia, sister Tina Kojro and her husband John, Eric’s father Donald Dixon all of Wilmington, many cousins, and many more life-long friends.

You may visit with Lisa’s family at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Saturday October 5, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. To send condolences visit: www.mmcreryandharra.com.
