Jeanette E. Maccari, 100, passed away peacefully after a short illness on September 29, 2024.
She was born December 22, 1923 to and Dominick and Frances Picollelli. She lived with her daughter over the past thirteen years. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing large Sunday Italian dinners. She was a member of Cavaliers Country Club, enjoyed golfing and golf trips to Myrtle Beach.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Frances Brousseau (Daniel), and sons, Nicholas Maccari (Victoria), Joseph Maccari (Tammy) and Anthony Maccari. She is also survived by her sister Philomena Picollelli. Jeanette was blessed with eleven grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas B. Maccari, sisters, Marie Picollelli, Antoinette Picollelli, Carmella Capriotti, Frances Marchiegano, her twin sister Madeline Nicolletti, and brother Dominick Picollelli.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Entombment will be private.
