Age 95, passed away on October 22, 2024.
She was born in Pennsylvania to the late Jesse and Elizabeth Hughes. She graduated from Avoca High School class of 1947. During Lorraine’s free time she enjoyed a good book and spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart in 2017 and her daughter, Lisa Conner in 2012. Lorraine is survived by her two sons, Terry Heckman (Gerri) and Richard Heckman, Sr.; her grandchildren, Cathleen Meredith, Richard Heckman, Jr., Kyle Conner and Brenna Conner (Josh); three great-grandchildren, her brother Kenneth Hughes (Ester), and two nieces Cindy, Gwen and nephew David.
Friends may call on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
